I feel a bit uncomfortable about using my blog for this purpose, but I think this case should be a necessary exception to the rule: as you may or may not know, the Presbyterian Church has decided to divest itself from Israel (a favorite cause of Chomsky's) as well as issuing a disgraceful -- and, in my opinion, rather obviously racist -- condemnation of Israel itself. The following petition has been started in protest, and I urge you all to read it and, should you wish, sign it.
